The Nine Mile Road corridor is poised for major growth in the coming years. Navy Federal Credit Union is under a massive expansion of its Beulah campus. This long-range expansion plan promises to create a $1 billion campus with as many as 10,000 jobs by 2020. Next door, officials with the Greater Pensacola Chamber have hammered out a plan to construct a massive, shovel-ready commerce park on land currently owned by the U.S. Navy. The plan, which would take at least two years to complete, is calculated to take advantage of a $600 million expansion of Airbus at Mobiles Brookley Field. The plans architects believe the park, strategically located near Interstate 10 and the Alabama state line, would become a magnet for aerospace subcontractors and could generate 4,000 to 8,000 new jobs. This 3.53-acre property is located on the north side of Nine Mile Road, also known as Highway 90 in Pensacola, Florida. This is the major east west thoroughfare in North Pensacola.
